Working in one of our stores offers more variety than you might think. You won't be lifting heavy boxes or managing the challenging tasks of moving personal belongings, and it's certainly not a warehouse role. Our store positions are dynamic and varied, but one thing always remains consistent....our commitment to our customers. We believe these roles create an environment where no two days are ever the same. As part of the team, you'll guide customers through their self-storage journey, from their initial enquiry to when they no longer require our services. To deliver outstanding service, you'll identify each customers unique needs and provide tailored support, offering expert advice throughout their time with us. Working closely with your team, you`ll play an integral role in managing customer accounts and supporting them with the wide range of services we provide, as well as ensuring the store remains a safe, secure and inviting environment for all visitors.

Customer Service

Customer service is at the heart of everything we do. Whether you're guiding someone through the start of their storage journey or simply helping a customer find the right size box, our team consistently delivers service that goes above and beyond. As Big Yellow is home to thousands of customers, you'll play an integral role in managing their accounts. From updating records, to managing payments and ensuring everything is compliant with our procedures, these essential tasks help deliver the high standard of service we’re known for.

Sales

Sales isn’t about pressure, it’s about understanding and through our consultative approach, you’ll get to know our customers and their specific needs, enabling you to recommend solutions that are genuinely right for them. While we work towards targets, it's your people skills that truly drive success. We don't except you to be a top salesperson — what matters most is your ability to connect with people. We’ll support you with training, tools, and clear processes to help you succeed.

Facility Management

You'll take responsibility for maintaining high operational standards in your store, which includes carrying out health and safety checks and overseeing general maintenance. While it may not be the most glamorous part of the job, it’s a vital aspect of keeping the store running smoothly. As a team, everyone plays a role in managing daily tasks. This attention to detail helps build trust with our customers and is a key reason why Big Yellow is the UK's favourite storage company.
